Meet at Appledore Bridge on the entrance road to the burrows, EX39 1NL
As part of the 20th Appledore Book Festival's celebrations, join local wildlife expert Martin Unwin for a birdwatching bonanza. He will help you search the high tide roost, the Taw/Torridge Estuary and Northam Burrows to find many of the magical top twenty species to be found along the Appledore coastline. On previous walks, groups have seen a huge variety of waders and wildfowl. They have also been lucky enough to witness dramatic peregrine falcon hunts, short-eared owl fly-bys, sparrowhawks and merlin.
Please wear suitable clothing and footwear and, if possible, bring binoculars.
Sorry, no dogs.
