Actor, comedian and author Ben Miller, joins Death in Paradise creator and writer, Robert Thorogood, to look back at the success of the series. Since DI Richard Poole, played by Ben Miller, solved his first case on the Caribbean Island in 2011, Death in Paradise has captivated audiences around the world, and produced two spin-off series, including Beyond Paradise, set in Devon. Ben and Robert will discuss the appeal of the murder/mystery story, and the lasting legacy of Agatha Christie, as well as her influence on their own work. They will also talk about their latest novels, Ben’s A Very Dangerous Pursuit, his hilarious debut novel for adults, and the first in the Richard Hannay adventures, while Robert will discuss The Mysterious Affair of Judith Potts, the fifth Marlow Murder Club novel, also now a successful television series.

Ben Miller is an actor, comedian, director and bestselling author. He rose to fame as a member of the comedy duo Armstrong and Miller, with fellow comedian Alexander Armstrong. As well as three series’ of Death in Paradise he has appeared in many films and TV programmes including: Johnny English, Primeval, Paddington 2, Doctor Who, Doc Martin, Upstart Crow and Bridgerton.
